BAPLA
The UK organisation for picture libraries and photographic agencies. Its members range from individual photographers and small specialist collections to large international stock agencies.
Association of Photographers
An association of photographers primarily in the advertising and editorial fields, which has a committee involved with new technology called the Digital Imaging Group.
Design and Artists Copyright Society Limited
DACS was established in 1984 as a not-for-profit membership organisation. DACS exists to protect and promote the copyright of visual creators in the UK and worldwide.
The Press Association
Universally known as the PA, is a long-established news agency, with a vast collection of information and photographs.
Skillset
The Sector Skills Council for the Audio Visual Industries (broadcast, film, video, interactive media and photo imaging). Jointly funded by industry and government, their job is to make sure that the UK audio visual industries have the right people, with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time, so that those industries remain competitive.

Picture Editors Guild
The UK Picture Editors’ Guild.
The purposes of the Guild are to provide a forum for discussion and information concerning pictures and publishing, the administration of awards and other events, and promoting the role of photography within the media. The Guild is dedicated to the industry code of practice and the improvement within the media. It is non-political and non-profit making.

The PPA has provided education and a sense of community to the photography industry since 1880. To those offerings, the association has since added business and personal protection, business discounts, professional recognition, and more.

The Visual Reserchers' Society of Canada
The Visual Researchers' Society of Canada / Association des recherchistes en
audiovisuel du Canada announces the launch of their bilingual website,
The public side of the site provides members' names, contact information and research
interests for anyone looking for a professional researcher. The combined
membership represents decades of experience in film & television,
publishing, advertising, and the rare books and prints trade, with a number
of members also specializing in music research and clearance. The website
provides a catalogue of over 70 members from across Canada, with new members
being added every month.
