Work Experience

History of nearly everything from the earliest times to the most recent, especially skilled in the obscure and elusive. Over 40 years picture editing and research, the last 15 as picture editor at History Today. I delight in capturing the mood of a particular time and place through detailed visual and factual research online and elsewhere, and locating unfamiliar contemporary material in museums, archives and libraries.
