Picture Editor - FARFETCH

About the department:
Consisting of more than 100 people split across 10 teams, we look after both digital and brand marketing. We're a team of experts across Performance Marketing, SEO, CRM, Analytics and Data Science, Advertising Sales, Editorial, Online Communications, PR & Brand Events and Creative.
Working across all of the global markets, we make sure Farfetch remains high and mighty with both new and existing customers; all the while setting the brand apart from our competitors and making sure we're always one step ahead of the curve.
About the role:
This role is responsible for the delivery of photographic imagery for the Farfetch website and other ad-hoc marketing materials, ensuring that it is on-brand and of the highest quality. This includes researching images online, through agencies, libraries, bloggers and photographers, and purchasing them when relevant, insuring their usage rights are as required.

You will form part of the wider Creative Studio team that creates and delivers compelling global weekly content, developing original and fresh ideas that are inspirational, directional and that engage the Farfetch audience.

What you’ll do:
You will work closely with the Creative Director and the Creative Studio team to help elevate the Farfetch website
You will contribute new ideas for features and story telling
You will source appropriate imagery to enhance features and strengthen the vision of Farfetch
You will work with other Marketing teams, including Social Media and CRM, to assist with any necessary picture research or editing
You will negotiate usage rights and fees with picture agencies and other external image contributors
You will manage relationships with picture agencies
You will source appropriate catwalk, look-book and editorial imagery to support features
Who you are:
You are passionate about photography
You have a good knowledge of our current competitors
You have an excellent knowledge of fashion history
You have good links with current fashion bloggers
You have good connections with street style photographers
You have the ability to work on multiple projects to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
You have excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task
You are detail oriented and well-organised
You are excellent verbal and written communication skills
You are proficient in Photoshop or other image editing software
You are a solution focussed approach with the ability to stay calm under pressure
